Provision the Node Number and Network Name
ThedefaultTotalAccess5000Nodenumberis0.WhentheNodenumberis0,theSCMdoes
notrecognizeanyothermodulesintheshelf.
TosettheNodenumber,completethefollowingprocedure:
1. FromtheEnableprompt,type
configure terminal,andpressENTERtoaccesstheGlo‐
balConfigurationprompt.
CAUTION
!
The factory default setting for Network is Node 0. For single‐node
applications(EoCu,EoTDM,BSM,etc.),thenodenumberissetto1.
2. FromtheGlobalConfigurationprompt,setthenodenumberbytyping
node-number
<1-64>
,andpressENTER.
3. FromtheGlobalConfigurationprompt,setthenetworknamebytyping
network-name
WORD
,andpressENTER.
NOTICE
TheNetworkNamemustnotduplicatetheTID/chassis‐id.IfusingTotal
AccessEMStheNetworkNamemustbeauniquenamefor nodediscovery.
4. Type
end,andpressENTERtoreturntotheEnableprompt.
