Protective Trip and Warning Functions
Introduction
This chapter provides detailed information about the protective trip and warning
functions of the E300™Electronic Overload Relay. The protective trip and
warning functions are organized into five sections:

chapter explains the trip and warning protection features of the E300 relay
and the a
ssociated configuration parameters.
Current-based Protection
The E300 relay digitally monitors the electrical current that is consumed by an
electric motor. This electric current information is used for the following
protective trip and warning functions:
Overload Trip/Warning
Phase Loss Trip
Ground Fault Trip/Warning
Stall Trip
Jam Trip/Warning
Underload Trip/Warning
Current Imbalance Trip/Warning
Line Under Current Trip/Warning
Line Over Current Trip/Warning
Line Loss Trip/Warning
