Enhanced Data Rate Tests Running a Script in Standard Mode
7-32 PN: 13000-00205 Rev. N MT8852B Operation Manual
RMS DEVM: The MT8852B measures the RMS DEVM of 200 blocks of payload data,
each block being 50 s long. The displayed value of RMS DEVM is the
greatest value as calculated for each of the 200 blocks individually.
Peak DEVM: The peak DEVM value is the DEVM value of the single symbol in all the
blocks measured that has the greatest value.
99% DEVM: The 99% DEVM is the percentage of symbols measured in all the blocks
tested that are greater than the defined value (default conditions, 0.3 for
/4DQPSK and 0.2 for 8DPSK).
Avg RMS DEVM: This value is not specified in the Bluetooth test specification. It is defined
as being the average value of all the RMS DEVM values measured in the
"RMS DEVM" result. The purpose of this measurement is to indicate if the
RMS DEVM value is typical of the performance of all the blocks measured,
or if it represents a single large value.
4. Press the [Extended] soft key to display more detailed test results. An example of the
first extended page is shown below.
5. Page through the extended screens with the soft key in the normal manner, or press the
[Summary] soft key to revert to the initial summary page.
