(6) If the purge operation is normally, the machine displays "COMPLETED" on the LCD. To
return the machine to the initial stage of the maintenance mode, press the Go button.
If an error occurs in the purge operation, the machine displays "FAILED" on the LCD. If
you press the Go button, the machine returns to the initial state of the maintenance mode.
Remove the cause of the problem and restart from the beginning. Only when "Purge for
move" is selected in step (3), the machine displays "PLEASE POWER OFF" on the LCD
upon the successful completion of the purge operation. After confirming the indication of
the message, turn OFF the power.
<Supplementary information>
If you use the Ink cartridge used in the Purge for move mode, the used ink amount cannot be
correctly detected, and error 2A might occur. For this reason, the use of end user’s ink
cartridges is prohibited. If you use an end user’s ink cartridge and error 2A occurs, clear the
error with the procedure in Chapter 2, "Clearing the 2A error".
