Managing CRS LDAP Server Information
8-24
Cisco Customer Response Solutions Administration Guide, Release 4.1(1)
Description: For DCD or ND, enter the host name or the IP address of the LDAP
server. For AD domain, enter the LDAP server domain.
You can also specify one or more LDAP servers to be used if the primary LDAP
server fails. To do so, enter the host name, IP address, or Microsoft AD domain
of each backup server in the order that they should be used if a failover occurs.
Separate each entry with a comma (,), a semicolon (;), or a space.
Note Do not use the string localhost to designate the LDAP Server.
Step 4 Specify the port on which the LDAP server should receive LDAP requests.
Default value for DCD: 8404.
Default value for AD: 389.
Default value for ND: 390.
Step 5 Specify an LDAP Administrator Username.
This is a unique name configured on the LDAP server for the User with
permission to modify the Cisco IP Telephony LDAP tree and object entries.
Enter this information in the format shown as the default value for your LDAP
type. Replace the text in italics with your values, if necessary. In these formats,
cn is a Common Name, o is an Organization, ou is an Organizational Unit, and dc
is a Domain Component.
Default value for DCD:
cn=Directory Manager, o=cisco.com
Default value for AD:
cn=Administrator,cn=Users,dc=AD_domain
(For example, if AD_domain is myad.cisco.com, the default value would be
cn=Administrator,cn=Users, dc=myad,dc=Cisco, dc=com.)
Default value for ND:
cn=Directory Manager.
Note The LDAP Administrator Password is display-only; it is set during CRS
installation. You cannot reset it using the LDAP Server information web
page; you can only reset it using the CRS Serviceability Utility. For more
information, see “Updating the LDAP password” section on page 8-53.
