1.13 PGD100 NON-CONTACT SPEED DETECTOR
The PGD100 is a non-contact position measurement device, or Speed Detector, consisting
of a Controller and Sensor Array(s). It is used in cases where a traditional contact
encoder/tachometer will not work, as in a Cross-Belt Sorters or Tilt-Tray system where a
continuous belt surface is not available. The speed detector is designed to function as an
encoder/tachometer replacement in certified dimensioning and scanning applications.
