5-3-6 SYSCONML
This block has 4 main functions: front-end control, mid-processing for MLA2, post processing for display
and user interface control.
Front-end Control: This is to control the front beamfomer assys. This includes as: Probe inte
rface,
assy
version reading interface, scan control for transmit/receiving beamforming.
Mid-processing: Basically this processing is to decode the encoded receiving signals, demodulate
the echo signals with carrier, compensate the frequency and gain based on time, and compress th
e
en
veloped detected signals logarithmically for display. This processing is executed by 2
CHACOMs.
Post Processing, and User Interface: SYSCONML Assy has high performance SOM (system
on
mo
dule) which performs post processing for 2D image, Color flow and Doppler with mid-pr
ocessed
da
ta, and handless user inputs through operation console.
