Assessment and Results
Decision-making Reliability of the ECG Analysis Program
The quality of an ECG analysis program is expressed by the two values
sensitivity and specificity.
The following parameters were established to assess the reliability of the
algorithm. According to AHA recommendations, test ECGs of the “intermediate”
class were not included in the calculation of the sensitivity and specificity.
a = number of correct positive decisions
b = number of false positive decisions
c = number of false negative decisions
d = number of correct negative decisions

a 361
b 2
c 27
d 1002
