Why has the instrument saved no measured data even though I measured with the auto-save
setting?
You may have pressed the RUN/STOP key.
Press the START/STOP key to perform auto-save measurement.
See “Automatically saving measured data” (p. 126).
Why has the message “Unable to automatically generate the lename.” appeared during the auto-
save operation?
Each folder can contain up to 1000 les.
Create another folder to save further les.
See “Recordable time and data” (p. 127).
Why has my computer failed to acquire the MAC address even though I have connected the
instrument to the computer through our LAN.
Check the IP address settings.
Except for the last three digits of the IP address, communications cannot be performed unless all the IP
addresses are set to the same numbers as the computer’s IP address.

Can I retrot channels to my instrument after delivery?
Hioki can modify the instrument by custom order.
Contact your authorized Hioki distributor or reseller.
The saved data includes a numeric value of 1.00E+104. What does this mean?
This indicates that data points are in a overload condition or a peak-over condition.
Can I use password-protected (secure) USB ash drives with the instrument?
Password-protected USB ash drives cannot be used the instrument.
Use USB ash drives that accommodate the mass storage class standard.

Why has the instrument failed to detect my USB ash drive?
Cycle the instrument. If the instrument cannot the USB ash drive after the instrument was cycled, try a
dierent USB ash drive. (Not all USB ash drives are supported.)
