4 If duplex top margin needs adjustment, then adjust first the top margin setting in the Registration menu.
Note: A positive
oset
moves the text down the page and widens the top margin, while a negative
oset
moves the text up the page and narrows the top margin.
Top Margin
This setting controls the oset between the placement of the first scan line on the front and back side of a
duplex sheet.

1 Print a quick test page.
a From the Diagnostics menu, navigate to DUPLEX TESTS > Quick Test.
b Select Single.
c Hold the page to light to see whether the top margins of the back and front side are aligned.
2 From the Diagnostics menu, navigate to DUPLEX TESTS > Top Margin.
3 Change the margin value.
Notes:
• Changing the value by 1 unit moves the margin by 1/100 inch.
• A positive value moves the text down the page and widens the top margin. A negative value moves
the text up the page and narrows the top margin.
4 Depending on your printer model, touch Submit or press the Select button to apply the changes.

Left Margin
This setting allows the user to shift the position of the left margin of the back side of the duplexed page to the
left or right.
Note: This is applicable only to model T656.

• The Left Margin range is ‑25 to +25, and the default value is 0.
