If the lines on your NEC PBX are not working, begin by verifying that the Run/Block switch is set to the RUN position for the PCB. Also, check each line before the system using a test set and measure the loop current on each line with a digital voltmeter. Verify the trunk wiring and cable connection of the EXIFU if two cabinets are in use. Confirm the correct LED indication on the PCB, and ensure the trunk PCB is properly installed. Finally, make sure the system has proper earth grounding.

If extensions are not working on your NEC PBX, start by verifying that the Run/Block switch is in the RUN position for the PCB. Check the extension itself. The ESIU PCB has test points on the top edge. Voltages at the extension's modular jack should be TP3 - TP2 -54 to -47V DC, TP1 - TP2 +3.3 to +3.5V DC. Try connecting the phone to another extension to ensure it works correctly. Verify the extension wiring and cable connection of the EXIFU if using two cabinets. Check for the correct LED indication on the PCB and ensure the extension PCB is properly installed.
