Define the media type and media size
Define the media type and media size
Purpose
To define the media type and media size of a media roll, sheet feeder or manual feed.
When to do
After you insert a new media roll or cut sheet material.
Define the media type and size
1. Press the ‘On-line’ key on the printer operator panel to put the printer Off-line. The
message ‘Off-line’ is displayed in the status window. The green LED above the
'On-line' key is off.
2. Press the left selection key to shift the focus to the media selection.
3. Use the arrow keys to select roll 1, to 6, sheet feeder or Manual.
4. Press the right selection key to select the setting you want to define.
5. Use the arrow keys to scroll through and define the settings.
Note: Media sizes of both the DIN and ANSI media sizes are available. Use the
arrow keys to select either a DIN or ANSI format.
6. Put the printer On-line again by pressing the ‘On-line’ key.
Note: You only adjust the settings on the printer operator panel when you alter the
size or media type.
