9.4.2.1 Selecting a File as the Active Storage Location
The EPOCH 6LT maintains a list of all files on the instrument. To save information to
a file, you must first select that file and then set it as the active storage location.
The File setup page enables you to use calibration files and inspection storage files at
the same time within a procedure while minimizing required button presses. For
example, a particular inspection may require the use of three separate transducers
and therefore three calibrations, but you may want to store all inspection data in one
inspection file. In such a situation, you should open that inspection file first.
To select a file as the active storage location
1. With the selected file highlighted, press the Enter key, and then press the Tab key
to highlight the Save to... button (see Figure 9-4 on page 108).
2. Press the Enter key to confirm the Save to... action.
The file name and file ID of the opened file are displayed in the file identifier bar
on the live A-scan display (see Figure 9-5 on page 109).
