7. Gates
This chapter describes how to use the standard gates of the EPOCH 6LT ultrasonic
flaw detector.
7.1 Activating the Gates
To activate the gates
1. On the setup menu, turn the adjustment knob to select the Gate1 icon ( ) or
Gate2 icon ( ). See “Setup Mode” on page 17 for details on opening the setup
menu.
2. Press the Enter key to display the Gate (1 or 2) dialog box.
3. Press the Enter key, and then turn the adjustment knob to set the G(1 or 2) Status
to On (see Figure 7-1 on page 72).
