Pulser/Receiver Adjustments

Figure 6-3 Pulser dialog box
6.2.1 Energy (Voltage)
The EPOCH 6LT can adjust the pulse energy from 0 V to 400 V in increments of 100 V.
You can set the pulse energy to a minimum to extend the battery life, or set very high
pulse energy for the most difficult materials.
To adjust the pulse energy
1. In the pulser dialog box, press the Enter key to highlight the Energy value.
2. Turn the adjustment knob to vary the value (see “Navigating Dialog Boxes and
Setup Pages” on page 19).
In the Energy adjustment, coarse and fine steps are equal (100 V).
To maximize instrument battery life and transducer life, use lower energy settings
when the application permits. For most applications, the energy setting does not need
to exceed 200 V.
