supporttheengine.Theengineassemblyweighsapproximately:
•Model31900and31901=150kg(330lbs)
•Model31902and31903=204kg(450lbs)
•Model31907and31909=172kg(380lbs)
4.Connectasuitablehoistorlifttothefrontandrearlifttabsontheengine.On
model31902and31903machines,donotallowtheliftchainsorstrapsto
contacttheDPF.
CAUTION
Use1persontooperatetheliftorhoistwhiletheotherperson
guidestheengineintothemachine.
IMPORTANT
Whenremovingtheengineensurethatyoudonotdamagethe
engine,fuelhoses,hydrauliclines,electricalharnessesorother
parts.
5.Carefullylowertheengineintothemachinemovingittowardthefrontof
themachine.
6.Installthe3locknuts,snubbingwashers,spacersandcapscrewssecuring
theenginemountstotheenginebrackets.
7.InstallthePTOclutchstopstrap.
8.ConnectthecuttingunitdriveshaftatthePTOclutch.
9.Usea1/2inchsquaredriveonthehydraulicpumpdrivebeltidlerarmand
installthepumpdrivebeltonthepumppulley.
10.Installthefastenerssecuringthewireharnessgroundandbatterynegative
(-)cabletotheengineblock(lowerfrontleftcorner).
11.Connectalloftheelectricalconnectionspreviouslyremovedfromtheengine.
12.Onmodel31900and31901machines;connectthethrottlecableatthe
engine.
13.Installthefuel/waterseparatorassemblyonitssupportbracket.
14.Connectthefuelsupplyandreturnhoses.
15.Installtheexhausttube;refertoRemovingandInstallingtheExhaustSystem
(page4–11).
16.Installtheradiatorandhydraulicuidcooler;refertoInstallingtheRadiator
andHydraulicFluidCooler(page4–15).
17.Ensurethatallthewires,fuellines,hydraulichoses,andcablesareclearof
movingpartsandsecuredtotheiroriginallocations.
18.Checktheengine-oillevelandadjustifnecessary.
