Replacing the Hydraulic Filter
Changethehydrauliclter:
• Aftertherst8operatinghours.
• Afterevery200operatinghours.
1. Positionthetractionunitonalevelsurface.
2. Lowertheloaderarm,stoptheengine,andremove
thekey.
3. Removetherearaccesscover.
IMPORTANT: Do not substitute an automotive oil
lter or severe hydraulic system damage may
result.
4. Placeabsorbanttowelsunderthelter.
5. Removetheoldlter(Fig.0009).

6. Wipethesurfaceofthelteradaptergasketarea
clean.
7. Pre-llthehydraulicoillterwithoilandapplyathin
coatofoiltotherubbergasketonthereplacement
lter.
8. Installthereplacementhydrauliclterontothelter
adapter.Handtightenitclockwiseuntiltherubber
gasketcontactsthelteradapter,thentightenthe
lteranadditional3/4turn.
9. Removeabsorbanttowelsandwipeupanyspilled
uid.
10. Openthehood.Starttheengine,raiseandlowerthe
loaderarm.
11. Raisetheloaderarmandinstallcylinderlock.
12. Stoptheengine,removetheLHsidegrill,checkthe
uidlevelinthehydraulictank(referto“Checking
theHydraulicFluid”onpage3-4)andadduidto
raisetheleveltothemarkonthedipstick.Donot
overllthetank.
13. InstallLHsidegrill.
14. Installtherearaccesscover.
15. Removecylinderlockandlowertheloaderarms.
16. Closethehood.
Note: Dispose of used oil and lters at a certied
recycling center.
