Program Mode 6-5
• Pressure Change: Measures the cumulative loss of pressure.
• Flow: Measures flow.
• Pressure Measure: Measurement of pressure.
• Force Change: Movement from a state of rest. The force sensor detects the
change from the first measurement to the last measurement made during the
test phase (delta force).
Test Vo lume
Enter the volume of the component to be tested.
Leak Threshold
This item sets the reject condition for leakage within a test component due to
pressure loss. Leak rate values above the limit are rejected and values below the
limit are passed. The value entered is either in pressure drop values, dependent
upon the pressure unit settings and range, or flow rate units set by the user.
Test Pressure
Enter the required test pressure.
Pressure Tolerance
This item sets the tolerance that the pressure must be within during the test cycle.
If the pressure at the test component exceeds the upper limit (i.e. test pressure plus
tolerance), an overpressure error is detected and displayed. If the pressure at the
test component drops below the lower limit (i.e. test pressure minus tolerance), a
gross leak is detected and the test cycle is terminated.
This value will be applied to the Test Pressure to update relevant portions of the
Steps Tab.
Pass/Fail Rule
Tap the Pass/Fail Rule data box to view all available Pass/Fail rule combinations
on the Pass/Fail Rule Screen. Alternatively, tap the up/down arrows to scroll
through the available combinations.
Limits set between the Pass, Fail, and Salvage areas on the rules set the boundaries
between each area. Using the limits allows precise control over the test output.
The limits can be set directly from the Pass/Fail rule data box by tapping the
numeric field and entering the limits with the pop-up numeric keypad.
Apply Defaults
This Apply Defaults features helps to automate the entire test setup process based
on the values entered on this tab. Press the Apply Defaults button to compute and
apply default step times and other test parameters. Program parameters, step
durations, and limits will be computed and applied to the test program being
currently defined. After pressing this button, confirmation will be requested before
