10. Card Cage
When exchanging an Input & Com m unication unit between a HDF/HDX and a HDQ, the formatters must be reprogramm ed. This is
an automatic process that s tarts after pressing the O K button. T his update is time consuming. It can take up to 2 0 minutes before
the reprogram ming is finished. DO NOT SWITCH OFF THE PROJECTOR during t his process !
The following message will be displayed when starting up the projector when the Input & Communication unit is not correctly pro-
grammed:
“Incompatible hardware. Formatter firmwar e does not match projector resolution. Press OK to reprogram the firm ware. This will
take several ninutes.”
The following can be done:
1. Ac cept to reprogram and click OK to continue with the process. Wait for about 15 to 20 minutes so that the procedure can be
comple ted
When starting the update process, do not sw itch off the p rojector before the process is finished. When switching off during
the update process, the PMP board inside the Input & Communication unit will be corrupt and needs be recovered in a Barco
service center. Contact Ba rco for further instructions.
2. Do not click O K on the message but switch off the projector. R eplace with a com patible programmed Input & Communication
unit.
