13.9 High Contrast plate replacement
WARNING: Disconnect the power cord from the projector and wait a few minutes (to discharge the capacitors)
prior to start with this procedure.
CAUTION: All servicing to the Light Pipe components has to be done in a dust free area. Use compressed air
to blow away all dust on the outside of the Light Processor and Light Pipe before entering the projector into
the dust free area.
Necessary tools
•7mmflat screwdriver.
• 2.5mm Allen wrench.
How to replace
1. D isconnect the wire unit (reference 1 image 13-22) of the High Contrast plate.

2. Turn out the 4 screws (reference 1 to 4 ima ge 13-23).

3. S lide out the high c ontrast plate assembly.
4. Insert a new high contrast plate assembly.
5. D rive in the 4 screws (image 13-23)
6. R econnec t the cable of the high contrast plate.
A full calibration of the Motor Control Board is required in case the Motor Control Board has been replaced or
in case of any service intervention on the High Contrast plate or Lens Holder.
