18. Fan replacement procedures
18.1 Replacement of the Card Cage electronics fans
Where are the Card Cage Electronics fans located?
The Card Cage electronics fans are located at the right side of the Card Cage, behind the front dust filter of the projector. The two
fans ventilate the electronic compartment of the Card C age boards.
This procedure assumes that the projector input cover, front cover and front dust filter are already removed.
Necessary tools
3 m m Allen wrench.
How to replace the fans of the Card Cage boards compartment
1. D isconnect the wire unit (reference 3 or 4 of im age 18-1) of the fan (reference 1 or 2 of image 18-1) which you want to replace.

2. R eplace the fan. Us e a 3 mm Allen wrench to loosen/fasten the four screws (reference 1 or reference 2 image 18-2) of the upper
or lower fan. E nsure that the airflow of the fan is towards the Card Ca ge compartment.

3. R econnect the wire unit of the fan.
