13.5 Replacement of the shutter
Dowser assembly
The shutter of the projector is mounted upon the Light Proc essor just above the light output path of the p rism. The shutter as sem bly
has an “open” and a “close” state. In the “close” s tate the shutter blade shuts off the light beam between the Light Processor (DMD’s)
and the lens. In the “open” state, the shutter is retracted from the light beam. Note that the loc al keypad has a ded icated b utton
“SHUTTER” to operate the shutter.
The Light Processor has to be removed from the projector before replacing the dowser. This procedur
eas-
sumes that the Light Processor is already removed from the projector.
Necessary tools
2,5 mm A llen wrench.
How to replace the dowser of the Light Processor
1. D isconnect the wire unit of the shutter.

2. R emov e the shutter assembly from the Light Processor by releasing both hex agon socket head ca p screws (reference 1 im-
age 13-17). Use a 2,5 mm Allen wrench.
