7.1 2000 Series Preventive Maintenance
Be certain to disconnect power before performing any maintenance on the power supply or
actuator.
The following preventive measures help assure long term operation of your Branson 2000 Series equip-
ment.
7.1.1 Periodically Clean the Equipment
Air is continuously drawn into the Branson power supply. Periodically disconnect the unit from power,
remove the cover and vacuum out any accumulated dust and debris. Remove material adhering to the fan
blades and motor, transistors, heat sinks, transformers, circuit boards, cooling intake vents, and exhaust
ports. Filters can be added to the power supply cooling fans for dusty environments. External covers may
be cleaned with a damp sponge or cloth using a solution of mild soap and water. Do not allow cleaning solu-
tion to enter the unit. To prevent rust in areas of high humidity, exposed steel surfaces, such as handles,
hardware, and the main column may require a very light film of oil, such as WD-40.
