A.1 Setting Up the Remote Terminal
To set up the Remote Terminal hardware, take the following steps:

To turn on the Remote Terminal, take the following steps:
A.3 Control by the Remote Terminal
Remote Terminal Control is possible only after the Remote Terminal parameters have been enabled and
properly set up in the 2000 Power Supply. Your Remote Terminal device must also be set up to be compat-
ible with the serial port parameters (baud rate, etc.) from the 2000 Power Supply.
Step: Action:

Connect the modem port of the Remote Terminal to the serial port of the
Power Supply with the RS232 cable provided.
2 Connect the keyboard directly to the Remote Terminal.

Plug the Remote Terminal into an available line receptacle with the sepa-
rate power cord provided.
Step: Action:
Turn the Remote Terminal on before the Power Supply.
1 Turn on the Remote Terminal.

Once you see the blinking cursor on the Remote Terminal screen, turn on
the Power Supply as usual, by pressing the start button.
