■ Dirt on paper
■ Check procedure using print dirt pattern
1) Set the same type of paper on which dirt appears in the paper tray.
2) Enter the maintenance mode. Connect the machine to your computer using the USB
cable.
3) Start Filedg32, and then drag and drop Duplex_Print_Test_Pattern.prn. The print dirt
pattern shown in the figure below is printed.
4) Check if there is dirt in the boxes from Check point-1 to Check point-3.
If there is dirt,
the paper set in the step 1) cannot be used on this machine.
If there is no dirt,
the paper set in the step 1) can be used on this machine.
5) Check if there is dirt in the boxes from Check point-4 to Check point-6.
If there is dirt,
refer to "Cleaning of the paper dust cleaning roller" and clean the paper
dust cleaning roller. Or clean the dirt on the roller by performing blank-sheet printing.
If there is no dirt,
you can use the machine without cleaning the roller.

- This symptom might stop occurring after making
several prints.
- Check whether paper is curled.

pattern" and check if the paper is any of the
specified ones.
