■ Cleaning procedure using the cleaning sheet
1) Set one cleaning sheet with its adhesive side down in the MP tray.
2) Press the Menu button, select MachineInfo using the or button, and press the
OK button.
3) Select PrintFileList using the or button, and press the OK button.
Then, one cleaning sheet is fed, and the FileList pattern is printed.
4) Check if there is any dirt on the cleaning sheet.
If there is dirt on the cleaning sheet,
return to the step 1) to print the FileList pattern
again. Note that the FileList pattern can be printed up to 3 times in a row. If you print
it 3 times, go to step 5).
If there is no dirt on the cleaning sheet,
go to step 5).
5) Set one cleaning sheet with its adhesive side up in the MP tray.
6) Press the Menu button, select MachineInfo using the or button, and press the
OK button.
7) Select PrintFileList using the or button, and press the OK button.
Then, one cleaning sheet is fed, and the FileList pattern is printed.
8) Check if there is any dirt on the cleaning sheet.
If there is dirt on the cleaning sheet,
return to the step 5) to print the FileList pattern
again. Note that the FileList pattern can be printed up to 3 times in a row. If you print
it 3 times, go to step 9).
If there is no dirt on the cleaning sheet,
go to step 9).
9) Set the cleaning sheet in the MP tray.
10) Press the Menu button, select MachineInfo using the or button, and press the
OK button.
11) Select PrintFileList using the or button, and press the OK button.
Then, one cleaning sheet is fed, and the FileList pattern is printed.
12) Check if there is any dirt on the cleaning sheet.
If there is dirt on the cleaning sheet,
go to step 13).
If there is no dirt on the cleaning sheet,
cleaning is finished.
13) Pull the open lever, open the top cover, and wipe the ink on the glass surface with a
soft dry lint-free cloth.
14) Select the cleaning sheet with the least dirt among those used. Fold it in two and
pass it through the EXIT_UPPER_CHUTE. Repeat this operation several times until
no dirt is attached on the cleaning sheet any longer.
15) If no dirt is attached on the cleaning sheet any longer, perform steps 9) to 11), print the
FileList pattern, and check that no dirt appears on it any longer. If dirt still appears on
it, perform steps 14) and 15) again.
When no dirt appears any longer, cleaning is finished.
