GPIO pins added using a GPIO Expander can be used as Logic Input and Open Collector Output
types, but, unlike the GPIO pins on a CP2, they cannot be used as Powered Logic Output type pins.

To add a GPIO Expander device:
1. If you have not already done so, create or open a CP2 project.

From the toolbar, click .
The Devices dialog box appears:
3. Click Add P-Link Device for the CONVERGE Pro 2 to which the GPIO Expander is attached.
CONVERGE Pro 2 connects to the GPIO Expander using a proprietary P-Link connection.
