The following parameters can be configured:
Parameter Description
Get IP From
Select Static, BOOTP, or DHCP protocols to assign IPv4 address, subnet mask, and
default gateway address: This appears in Edit window.
IP Interface Name
This field displays the name for the IP interface or it is used to add a new interface created
by the user. The default IP interface is named “System”.
IPv4 Address
This field allows the entry of an IPv4 address to be assigned to this IP interface.
Subnet Mask
This field allows the entry of a subnet mask to be applied to this IP interface.
VLAN Name
This field states the VLAN Name directly associated with this interface.
Interface Admin State
Use the pull-down menu to enable or disable the IP interface.
Proxy ARP State
Select to enable or disable the Proxy ARP.
Local Proxy ARP State
Select to enable or disable the Local Proxy ARP.
Click Apply to implement changes made.
NOTE: DES-3528/DES-3552 Series does not support cross-VLAN routing. Clients on different
VLANs/subnets within the same DES-3528/DES-3552 Series switch needs to communicate with
each other via an external L3 router or switch.
IPv4 Default Route Settings
This window allows the user to create and configure IPv4 Default Route interfaces to the Switch’s IP routing table.
To view this window, click L3 > IPv4 Default Route Settings as shown below:
