5. Remove hex. head screws and separate
the differential carrier from the axle
housing.
NOTE:
See “Special Tools” on page 15.
6. Fasten the differential carrier in the
assembly jig.
7. Remove lock wire and drive roll pins out.
NOTE:

8. Loosen adjusting nuts.
NOTE:
See “Special Tools” on page 15.
9. Remove hex. head screws and remove the
two bearing caps.
NOTE:
Match mark bearing caps with
housings, see Arrow.
