Axle (ZF AP 420R)
10. Remove hex. head screws and remove
bearing caps.
11. Lift the differential assembly out of the axle
carrier.
NOTE:
Pay attention to the released
outer bearing races.
NOTE:
See “Special Tools” on page 15.
DIFFERENTIAL
1. Pull off the two inner bearing races from
the housing cover, resp. differential case.
NOTE:
See “Special Tools” on page 15.
2. Match mark housing cover with differential
case.
3. Remove locking screws.
