5. Squeeze out circlip and remove plate
pack.
NOTE:
This step is necessary to allow
the later installation of the inner
plate carrier.

6. Remove hex. head screws and separate
differential carrier from the axle housing,
using back-off screws.
NOTE:
See “Special Tools” on page 15.
DIFFERENTIAL
1. Fasten the differential carrier in the
assembly jig.
2. Drive out the roll pin on the crown wheel
side.
NOTE:
See “Special Tools” on page 15.
3. Loosen and remove adjusting nut.
