Axle (ZF AP 420R)
4. Lift differential and remove outer bearing
race.
5. Tilt axle carrier 180°.
6. Drive out roll pin (opposite the crown
wheel side), remove adjusting nut and
outer bearing race (See Figure 68).
7. Pull off inner bearing race from the
housing cover, resp. differential case.
NOTE:
See “Special Tools” on page 15.
8. Match mark housing cover with differential
case.
9. Remove locking screws.
