7. Select a transport Idx # for the incoming scale message. In this example, transport
number 7 is selected.
8. Make sure TCP Server is selected from the Socket Type drop-down list.
9. Enter a viable server port number for the scale in your system in the Server Port text
field.
10. Make sure Disabled is selected from the Data Output Protocol drop-down list.
11. Under the Protocol Index Settings section of the screen, select Without Request
Message from the Enable drop-down list. Associated parameters appear.
12. Enter a Header and Terminator for the incoming message from the scale in the fields
provided. Use the Text Entry Tool to create the Header and Terminator, in this
example <STX> and <ETX>.
13. Select a length for the message from the Length Type drop-down list. In this example
Variable Length is selected.
