System Orientation
Before setting focus offsets, it is wise to become familiar with the orientation of the systems
DM3610 and AV7000 Cameras when looking downstream or in the direction of package flow.
Notice how the Far Working Distance of the right side AV7000 camera coincides with the
DM3610 Left Focus Offset, and the Far Working Distance of the left side AV7000 camera
coincides with the DM3610 Right Focus Offset. These lines on the left and right are
considered the 0 (zero) position. The distance between the left and right focus offsets is
considered the “Conveyor Width” and must be entered in the Conveyor Width field in
Global Settings | Operating Mode.
Figure 98: System Orientation
NOTE: The DM3610 Left and Right Offsets will not
necessarily be the same, but are based on the Far
Working Distance of the side AV7000 cameras.
Reference the system application drawings for the
prescribed Far Working Distance of each camera.
