Procedure in case of malfunctions

Alarm message Priority Explanation/Measure
Risk of overheating (X) High priority „X“ stands for a failure number from 1 to 2.
Defibrillation was performed on the test contacts (1=
in the shock paddle holder) (2= in the cable socket)
too frequently in succession. Avoid further
defibrillations on the test contacts.
RR > [NUMBER]/min
High priority The measured respiration rate exceeds or falls
below the upper/lower alarm limit.
Check the patient's vital signs.
Low priority

does not have the necessary license
to connect to the server.
Contact authorised sales and service partners.
Low priority The server is connected to the network, the
corpuls.web software is not started or crashed.
Check server.
Low priority Connection has been restarted by the server.
Repeat attempt to establish connection.
Low priority Wrongly configured IP address or wrongly
configured domain.
Domain connection (DNS service) is not available or
faulty.
Check IP address or domain and configure anew, if
necessary.
Low priority Malfunction in the internet connection of the server
or the connection has been interrupted by server.
Repeat attempt to establish connection.
High priority The shock could not be delivered.
Check correct position of therapy electrode.
Repeat shock delivery if necessary.
The event is documented in the protocol.

does not recognise the SIM card.
Make sure that the SIM card is correctly inserted and
not dirty.
Low priority If data transfer is repeated several times in spite of a
wrong PIN, the SIM card will be locked. Data
transfer will now no longer be possible even after
entry of the correct PIN on corpuls
3
.
Remove the SIM card from corpuls
3
and replace
with a clear card. A locked card can be unlocked in a
mobile telephone by entering the PIN2/PUK/PUK2
(“super PIN”) (PIN: Personal Identification Number;
PUK: Personal Unblocking Key)
If the SIM card cannot be unlocked, first contact your
mobile communications provider and then, if
necessary, your authorised sales and service
partner.
