4. To select the source, press F1
(Internal) or F2 (External).
If an external modulating source is selected, the
frequency deviation is determined by a ± 5V signal
input into the MOD INPUT terminal on the rear
panel. The frequency deviation is proportional to
the voltage of the modulation source. For example,
if the voltage of the modulation source is +5V, then
the frequency deviation would be equal to the set
frequency deviation. Lower voltages levels reduce
the frequency deviation while negative voltage
levels produce frequency deviations with
frequencies below the carrier waveform.
