Reference Code (MRC) default settings for the chipset and the FBDIMM thermal throttling
configuration.
Altitude information is combined with the thermal profile data to program the memory throttling
characteristics of the chipset and FBDIMMs.

0:2 OEM ID Intel manufacturers ID – 157h, little endian
3 Record Subtype Value 0Bh
4 Throttling Mode Indicates throttling mode. 01: Open Loop 02: Closed Loop.
5 Profile Support Bitmap [7:4] reserved (Initialized to 0)
[3:0] Fan Control Profile Support. This is a bitmask that indicates
which fan control profiles that this record is valid for.
Bit 3 1 = valid for profile 3
Bit 2 1 = valid for profile 2
Bit 1 1 = valid for profile 1
Bit 0 1 = valid for profile 0
Thermal Profile Data Record
6:23 Thermal Profile Data Byte format defined by thermals team and/or BIOS. May be formalized
later If the number of bytes in this field changes, the “Record Length”
field and “_REC_LEN” tag above the SDR data must be adjusted to
match. Values must be Hexadecimal. Data words must be represented
in little endian.
The maximum supported value of n is 63, for a maximum SDR body
size of 64 bytes. This is the largest SDR size that can be retrieved over
the KCS interfaces. Values of n larger than 23 will prevent the SDRs
from being retrieved over IPMB, but this is not an expected usage
model other than during development.
6 TempInlet Temperature at chassis inlet in units of 0.5 degrees Celsius (90 units =
45 degrees Celsius) applied to SYS.TempInlet, data format is
hexadecimal.
7 TempRise Temperature rise from chassis inlet to FBDIMM local ambient in units of
0.5 degrees Celsius (90 units = 45 degrees Celsius) applied to
SYS.TempRise, data format is hexadecimal.
8:9 AirFlow Average air flow velocity in dim channel in units of mm/sec (1500 units =
1.5 m/s) applied to SYS.AirFlow. Data format is in Hex, little endian.
10:11 DimmPitch The pitch between DIMMs in units of 1/1000 inch (410 units = 0.41 in)
applied SYS.DimmPitch. Data format is in Hex, little endian.
12:13 ThrtLoRatio Ratio of BNB.THRTLOW / BNB.THRTHI in percentage. "0" = unlimited
BW. Data format is in Hex, little endian.
14:15 ThrtMidRatio Ratio of BNB.THRTMID / BNB.THRTHI in percentage. "0" = unlimited
BW. data format is in Hex, little endian.
16 TempMidGb Temperature guard band to AMB.TEMPMID in units of 0.5 degrees C
(90 = 45 C) applied to SYS.TempMidGb (this is offset from the AMB
max temp at max BW "Z"). Data format is hexadecimal.
17 TempLoGb Temperature guard band to AMB.TEMPLO in units of 0.5 degrees C (90
= 45 C) applied to SYS.TempLoGb ( (this is offset from the AMB max
temp at max BW "Z"). Data format is hexadecimal.
18 GlobalActRatio Ratio of BNB.GBLACT / BNB.THRTHI in percentage. "0" = unlimited
BW, data format is hexadecimal.
