2.5 Serial interfaces overview
2.5.1 Serial interfaces
The Controller has 2 serial interfaces:
• RS485 (A and B) balanced for up to 32 units in multi-axis applications and MODBUS
communication. (Standard)
• CANbus -CANopen DS-301/DSP-402,
• DeviceNet under development
CANbus and RS485 can be used at the same time.
Please notice: The number of available IO terminals available may vary de-
pending at which motor type you are using. Please the chapter Connector over-
view for the MIS23x, page 33 or Connector overview for the MIS34x, page 35
