CAUTION
Check to be sure all bystanders have cleared the area.
1. Start the engine. Refer to 3.15 Starting Engine, page 84.
2. MovethethrottletoadjusttheenginespeedtoIDLE.
3. Set the Intermediate Speed Control (ISC) to OFF. Refer to 4 Cab Display Module (CDM), page 153.
4. Engage the header drive switch (A), and pull up on the
black ring at the base of the switch.
NOTE:
A slight delay between activating the header
drive switc h and achieving operating speed
is normal.
5. Run the engine at maximum rpm.
NOTE:
To disengage the header drive, push down the
header drive switch (A).
