LK-Series Laser Height Sensor
A. Theory of Operation for LK Series
1. The LK-Series Laser Height Sensor uses a semiconductor laser beam and
triangulation measurement to determine the substrate height.
2. As the dispensing head lowers, the laser beam reflects off the substrate surface
back up to sensing array inside of the Height Sensor.
3. The sensing array detects the peak value of the light quantity distribution of the
laser beam to determine the precise substrate height.
4. The Laser Height Sensor then sends the information to the Fluidmove software.
B. LK Series Height Sensor Setup
1. If you upgrade the FmNT software or change or adjust the Height Sensor, you will
need to perform one of the following setup procedures:
 Calculate Master Offsets (CMO).
 Valve Offsets (VO).
 Scripted Valve Offsets (SVO).
 Camera-Assisted Scripted Valve Offsets (CASVO).
2. All four procedures perform all of the necessary setup functions.
