Exercise Sheet 3-6-6
Reassembling and Reconnecting the DV-6000
Tools and Materials Needed:
 KC-01 conditioning fluid
 4-mm hex key
1. Apply a small amount of conditioning fluid (KC-01) to the seal shoulder at the base
of the motor/feedscrew assembly on the DV-6000
(Solder Paste applications only).
2. Apply a small amount of conditioning fluid (KC-01) to the feedscrew on the DV-6000
(Solder Paste applications only).
3. Insert the feedscrew into the DV-6000 body through the Teflon lip seal.
4. CAUTION! The fit between the feedscrew and chamber is very precise. When
inserting and aligning the feedscrew, allow the screw to center itself in the
chamber. NEVER twist or force the feedscrew. If you have difficulty inserting the
feedscrew, attach the CB-6000 interface Cable to the DV-6000 and run the valve
forward. This will allow the feedscrew and motor to slide into place.
5. Rotate the motor mount cleats until they stop snugly against the motor mount
plate.
6. Attach the stainless steel luer fitting.
7. Slide the DV-6000 into the bracket from the left side.
8. Allow the valve to drop into place against the hard stop at the bottom of the
bracket.
9. Tighten the 4-mm setscrews on the right side of the DV-6000.
10. Connect the CB-6000 Interface Cable to the DV-6000.
