Leveling the Needle Sensor
1. Use the jog controls, move the dispensing head over one of the three leveling screws on
the Needle Sensor.
2. Be sure to use one of the leveling screws and not the Needle Sensor cover plate.
3. Lower the dispensing head until the green LED on the Height Sensor turns ON.
4. The Z-axis height is displayed in the jog window. Record the height on a piece of paper.
5. Repeat Steps 1-4 to record the Z-axis height of the other Needle Sensor leveling screws.
6. The location with the lowest Z-axis value is mechanically the highest of the three
locations. The other two locations need to be adjusted.
7. Move the dispensing head to one of the two locations that need to be adjusted.
8. Using the 1/8-inch hex key, adjust the Needle Sensor leveling screw until the green LED
on the Height Sensor turns ON (See Diagram Sheet 2-9-4 on page 2-2-73).
9. Repeat Steps 7-8 for the second location that needs to be adjusted..
10. Verify that the Needle Sensor is level by repeating Steps 1-4.
11. The Z-axis height value should be the same for all three locations.
12. If the Z-axis height value is not the same for all three locations, repeat Steps 7-8 for the
location(s) that need adjusting.
