Dispensing System Modules
A. Conveyor Controller Module
1. The Conveyor Controller Module supplies power to the stepper motors that move
the conveyor rail and belt.
2. The Conveyor Controller Module communicates with the dispensing software to
coordinate conveyor operation. It is connected to the COM 2 port of the computer.
3. If your dispensing system is equipped with a dual lane conveyor, your system
platform will include two Conveyor Controller Modules. The second Conveyor
Controller Module is connected to the COM 1 port of the computer.
B. Temperature Controller Module
1. The Temperature Controller Module monitors the temperature of the underboard
heaters.
2. It communicates with the system computer and Heater Relay Module to regulate
heater operation.
C. Heater Relay Module
1. The Heater Relay Module supplies power to the heaters.
2. It communicates with the dispensing software and the Temperature Controller
Module to regulate heater operation.
D. Timers Module
1. The Timers Module communicates with the Conveyor Controller Module through the
Main Interface PCA.
2. The Timers Module determines the minimum amount of time a part remains in
either the pre-dispense or the dispense zone.
