Tensioning the Cables
A. Auto Tension Procedure
1. FmNT includes auto tension procedure that allows you to tighten the dispenser cables.
2. This is essential in order to achieve and maintain an accurate and consistent
dispensing.
3. The Tensioner Setup dialog box allows you to setup and run an Auto Tension
procedure.
The box is divided into three sections:
- File Select
- Setup
- Run
The Current Tensioner File identifies the currently loaded .pss file, which contains all
of the Auto Tensioner commands for executing the procedure.
B. File Select
1. File Select allows you to select an Auto Tensioner file.
2. These files are designed to fit your dispensing system requirements.
C. Setup
1. Cables Last Changed
The year, day, month and time when the driver cables were last changed.
It is recommended that you change the driver cables at least once every six
months.
After changing the driver cables, click on Reset to update the Cables Last Changed
time log.
2. Burn-in Period
The number of days required for new driver cables to reach a stable state.
New cables have a tendency to stretch a certain amount after initial use.
The cables need to be retightened periodically during the Burn-in Period.
