Pump/Valve Purging/Priming
To Purge the Pump/Valve:
1. Check that the valve pressure is at normal operating level (50-80psi).
2. Check that the purge station location has been properly taught in FmNT.
3. Click on Configuration in the Main Window.
4. Click on Setup Purge Station.
5. Select VALVE 1 PURGE from the drop-down menu.
6. Click on Purge.
7. The dispensing head moves to the purge station and purges the pump for a preset
amount of time.
8. If the pump seems to operate but no fluid flows from the needle, the purge duration may
be too short. Either conduct multiple purges or extend the purge duration.
9. When the pump is in the dispense ready position, no fluid should flow or drip from the
needle.
10. If fluid is dripping from the needle tip, repeat the priming procedure.
To Redefine the Purge Station Location:
1. Select VALVE 1 PURGE LOC from the Location drop-down menu.
2. Move the dispense head to the new location.
3. Click on OK.
To Prime the Pump/Valve:
1. Click on Configuration in the Main Window.
2. Click on Setup Purge Station.
3. Select VALVE 1 PURGE from the drop-down menu.
4. Click on Prime.
