Calibrating the Scale
Both the dispensing system and the scale need to be leveled prior to performing this
procedure.
1. Remove the dispensing area front plate using a 1/8-inch hex key.
See Diagram Sheet 3-3-1 on
page 3-2-9.
2. Lift off the Weigh Station lid.
3. Remove the cup from inside of the Weigh Station.
4. Clean the inside of the Weigh Station with isopropyl alcohol.
5. Put on the lab gloves.
6. Open the lower front cabinet on the dispensing system.
7. Zero the scale by pressing zero on the scale control panel.
8. Press menu.
9. Select 1.Calibration on the scale.
10. Use the tweezers to place a 50-gram weight on the Weigh Station.
11. Replace the Weigh Station lid.
12. The scale should read 50g ± .001g.
 If the scale does not read within ±.001g, check for dirt in the Weigh Station, and be sure that
the scale was zeroed between each reading. If the scale still does not read within tolerance,
make sure that the scale and the dispensing system are both level and re-try the calibration
procedure. If the scale still does not read within tolerance, call Asymtek Technical Support.
13. Remove the Weigh Station lid.
14. Using the tweezers, remove the 50g weight.
15. Replace the Weigh Station lid.
16. Zero the scale.
17. Remove the Weigh Station lid.
18. Using the tweezers, place a 100mg weight into the Weigh Station.
19. Replace the Weigh Station lid.
20. The scale should read 100mg ± .001g.
 If the scale does not read within ± .001g, check for dirt in the Weigh Station, and be sure that
the scale was zeroed between each reading. If the scale still does not read within tolerance,
make sure that the scale and the dispensing system are both level and re-try the calibration
procedure. If the scale still does not read within tolerance, call Asymtek Technical Support.
21. Remove the Weigh Station lid.
22. Using the tweezers, remove the 100mg weight.
23. Put a new cup into the Weigh Station.
24. Replace the Weigh Station lid.
25. Zero the scale.
