Information Sheet 2-3-1
Pneumatic Distribution
A. Main Air Gauge and Regulator
1. Air enters the dispensing system from the facility air source at the Main Air Gauge
and Regulator located on the dispensing system back panel. From the Main Air
Regulator, it travels to the following air gauges and regulators:
 Valve Pressure
 Fluid Pressure
 Tooling Pressure
 Cooling Pressure
 Tensioner Pressure
2. All of the above gauges and regulators are located on the inside of the dispensing
system back panel.
3. The air from the Main Air Gauge and Regulator also leads directly to the following
valves, also located on the inside of the dispensing system back panel:
 Purge
- The air from the Purge Valve leads directly to the Purge Station vacuum.
 Vacuum Control
- Depending upon your particular system configuration, there may be as many
as three vacuum control valves.
- The air from these valves leads directly to the vacuum tooling on the
heaters.
B. Valve Pressure
1. The air from the Valve Pressure Gauge and Regulator leads to a control valve
located on the inside of the dispensing system back panel.
2. Air leaves the control valve in two separate hoses. Both hoses lead directly to the
dispensing head bulkhead.
 One hose connects to the
C/ON port, and activates to turn the valve ON. The
other hose connects to the
C/OFF port, and activates to turn the valve OFF.
 If your dispensing system is equipped with a dual-action dispensing head, there
will be a second control valve with two separate hoses connecting to the second
pair of
C/ON and C/OFF ports located on the bulkhead. These ports turn the
second valve ON and OFF.
