Cleaning the DV-6000
Tools and Materials Needed:
 Ultrasonic cleaner
 Bottle Brush
 Seal Removal Tool
1. Fill an ultrasonic cleaner with an appropriate cleaning solvent for the dispensing fluid to
be dissolved.
2. Check with the fluid formulator for recommended cleaning solvents.
3. Remove the seal, clean with solvent, and dry with pressurized air.
4. Immerse the DV-6000 body and stainless steel luer fitting in the ultrasonic cleaner.
5. Activate the ultrasonic cleaner for two minutes.
6. While the ultrasonic cleaner is running, use the bottle brush to clean the fluid feed
chamber, feedscrew barrel and stainless steel luer lock fitting.
7. Remove all components after two minutes.
8. If a powdery residue remains in the valve, remove it with pressurized dry air.
9. Clean the feedscrew using solvent and a bottlebrush. Wipe dry with a lint-free wipe.
10. Replace the cup seal using the backside of the seal removal tool to press the seal into
position. The spring side of the seal should go down inside of the valve body. When
properly installed, the spring will not be visible.
