Exercise Sheet 5-5-3
Removing and Replacing the Servo Boards
Tools and Materials Needed:
Phillips Head screwdriver
1. Power down and lock out/tag-out the M-2000.
2. Remove all power cables to the equipment.
3. Using a 2.5mm hex key, remove the two bolts on the rear upper access panel,
exposing the servo boards.
4. Slide the panel to the right, sliding off the hinge. Set the panel aside.
5. Place a grounding strap on your wrist, and connect to the M-2000 frame.
6. Remove the ribbon wire connector and power cable from the board.
7. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the four retaining screws from the card you
intend to remove while supporting the board with your free hand.
8. Remove the new board from its protective plastic bag.
9. Reverse steps 7 - 1.
