Emergency Shutdown Features
A. Emergency Machine Off (EMO) Button
1. All systems have an Emergency Machine Off (EMO) button on the front panel that
quickly powers down the equipment in the event of an emergency or malfunction.
2. A second EMO is located on the back of the system.
3. The standard configuration for the EMO cuts power to all actuators and moving
parts. The computer system remains powered ON.
4. An optional configuration for the EMO cuts power to the entire system, including the
computer.
B. EMO Operation
1. Push in to engage.
2. Turn clockwise to release.
(Note: Switch must be released to turn system on again
.)
C. Emergency Shutdown Situations
1. If operator is in immediate danger of being injured by moving parts or electrical
shock.
2. If valuable equipment parts are in danger of being damaged. This includes damage
to:
 The dispense pump as a result of unexpected dispense head movement.
 The boards or parts as a result of overheating.
 The system due to electrical failure.
